Summer in St. John!
July is a wonderful month of celebration in St. John, as we welcome summer visitors. If you’re planning a trip to the island, make sure to plan ahead for some fun on the water. Whether you choose a sailboat, a private charter, a catamaran, a fishing boat or even a dinghy, you’re sure to enjoy the ultimate in socially distanced vacation time! We’re happy to share that the schedule of flights has increased of late, with JetBlue announcing new flights from New York to St. Thomas. The airline is also resuming flights from Boston to the U.S. Virgin Islands in September. Delta, American, Spirit and United are also increasing flights in the coming month, so it might be a perfect time to plan a fall trip!
Cinnamon Bay is the one of the longest white sand beaches on St John. Just like Trunk Bay, you’ll find a cay just off the beach. And just like other St John beaches you’ll find white sand, palm trees, seagrapes for shade and some good shallow water snorkeling. Cinnamon Bay is also historically one of the few places to camp on St John. When the campgrounds reopen in the coming months, after extensive renovations, guests will be able to enjoy upgraded eco-tents and cottage accommodations, and wake up to the beauty of Cinnamon Bay each day! You’ll also find bathrooms, the RainTree Café, watersports rentals and a souvenir shop. Keep with the latest news from Cinnamon Bay on the Cinnamon Bay Beach & Campground Facebook Page.

When buying land, it’s very important to make sure that you look at the zoning. Zoning in the U.S. Virgin Islands determines how large of a house you will be able to build on a specified lot. Certain special requirements apply, such as the 50-foot set back from the high tide mark for waterfront properties. We have all the details on our website. Make sure to ask us about zoning for any property that you might be considering for purchase.
